Marshmello returns with his 4th, genre-bending album, “Shockwave.” The award-winning producer independently released it via his imprint Joytime Collective – it features collaborations with the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Troyboi, Carnage, Juicy J, Nitti Gritti, and more. Coinciding with the 12-track album, he became the first DJ to ever headline the opening ceremony of the UEFA Champions League Final. Not long after, he premiered several of the tracks via his highly-praised mix for SiriusXM BPM.
The album’s highlight song is the titular track “Shockwave.” It features Marshmello on the vocals, accompanied by the classic “Mello Sound” that originally brought him to the spotlight. The track feels just as refreshing as it does nostalgic, and greatly showcases what the anonymous DJ/producer has been quietly working on throughout quarantine. The music video received over 1 million YouTube streams within 24 hours. “Shockwave” came out on June 11th, and received billboards in Time Square New York, Marriott LA Downtown, and Dundas Square (Downtown Toronto). The album will be available in vinyl as well.
